We are looking for: 

The Senior Audio-Visual Engineer is an audio/visual expert who supervises and leads other A/V engineers. The Senior Audio-Visual Engineer may also serve as a Project Manager for the design, installation and commissioning of meeting spaces that require A/V technology, features and/or enhancements. The candidate must have outstanding communication skills and extensive technical skills, including advanced knowledge of programming and commissioning A/V control systems, comprehensive experience designing and commissioning cutting-edge A/V-empowered meeting spaces and visual display systems, including an advanced understanding of video and audio-conferencing solutions, including Crestron and QSC devices.

Essential Functions:

   Manages daily operations of  a large amount of A/V-enhanced conference rooms and video conference spaces, located both locally and remote, ensuring uninterrupted functionality.

 Supervises the installation and set-up and as required, personally sets up and installs equipment such as microphones, audio speakers, video screens and projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound amplifiers and video compression equipment.

   Supervises and coordinates with general contractors, electrical contractors, furniture contractors, etc. prior to and during an A/V commissioning to ensure A/V equipment is installed according to the desired customer design and manufacturer specifications.

    Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to understand their needs and, with that knowledge, properly identifies and recommends equipment, products, services or solutions that will meet those needs, and then uses acquired customer-driven criteria to recommend, design and commission new or refreshed A/V-enhanced spaces. 

   Monitors project performance, ensuring that variances and issues are understood and properly addressed in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

   Maintains A/V equipment in all conference rooms, meeting spaces and/or training spaces by establishing and managing an aggressive preventative maintenance program to keep the equipment operating at all times and at optimal levels.

   Tracks and reports on operational status of all A/V-enhanced meeting spaces to ensure the spaces are functioning as necessary, and can initiate repairs and updates as required, either through the supervision of other A/V technicians or by personally rectifying the issues themselves.

   Diagnoses, tests and resolves A/V equipment and other media system issues that may interfere with efficient and continued operations.

   Maintains, develops, creates, and archives, as required, A/V equipment standards and documentation for ensuring the global standardization of all conference room A/V installations.

   Provide exceptional "white glove" service to end-users, ensuring all audio-visual requirements for meetings and events are fully operational and meet the highest standards for a seamless and problem-free experience.

Competencies:

   Expertise with Crestron  and QSC Systems and interfaces.

   Excellent critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

   Superior judgment and decision-making skills; having the ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and solutions in order to make the most appropriate choice.

   Extensive experience and knowledge of A/V systems, projectors, flat panel displays and technology with a superior knowledge of A/V control systems, plus experience constructing and maintaining A/V-empowered conference rooms, in addition to an advanced working knowledge of video and audio-conferencing technologies, applications and solutions.

   Excellent organizational and writing skills with the ability to communicate effectively in writing, as appropriate for the needs of the audience.

   Experience as a project engineer/manager, preferably with a large corporate entity or commercial institution.

   Excellent supervisory and leadership skills.

   Strong and innovative solution development and implementation skills.

   Ability to manage and supervise company-defined solutions that will generate measurable results.

   Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Required Education and Experience:

    CTS-D, Crestron, and QSC certifications are preferred.

    8 years or more of experience in audio-visual operations and maintenance.

Position type and expected hours of work:

    Full Time- 6 month contract with the possibility to extend.

   Maintain A/V-enhanced spaces both onsite across various office locations and remotely.

   Travel required: 25% to 40%, primarily to other local locations and various West Coast offices. 

   Potential for hybrid work model at the supervisor's discretion once the candidate is established.

 

Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation range for this position is $105,000-$138,000.
